Aerotek Production Assembler in Saint Charles, Missouri

Job Title: Production Assembler

Job Description

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders to machine metallic and non-metallic pieces.

  • Responsibilities also include trimming, drilling, routing, lining up, and assembling material.

  • Forming machines presses, setting up and breaking down production tools and aids.

  • Using gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring equipment, you will check and follow work order, set up cards, and other instructions for work processes.

  • Daily maintenance on machines, including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, wiping down machines to remove coolant, dust, and debris, and monitoring the parts being run are integral parts of this role. Lastly, you will deburr and blend all parts that are machined.

Hard Skills

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, boring machines and grinders

  • Trim, drill, route, line up and assemble material

  • Work with forming machines presses

  • Set up and break down production tools and production aids

  • Use gauges, scale, calipers, and other measuring equipment

  • Perform daily maintenance on machines

  • Check, and monitor the parts that are being run

  • Deburr and blend all parts that are machined

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Charles, Missouri.

Work Environment

Non-climate controlled and involves cutting metals, which can be dirty depending on the task. It can get very hot in the summer months. Required PPE includes steel toes, eye/ear protection.

The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The workspace comprises of 12 work centers, divided into 3 teams with each team having a lead. The teams will rotate every 3 months to each work area to avoid burnout
