Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$23/hr, 6am-2:30pm

What’s a typical day as a Quality Control Inspector? You’ll be:

• Verifying and inspecting the quality of mechanical/electronic parts/assemblies to a standard, using blueprints and interpreting drawings

• Assembling and disassembling a wide range of products, following work instructions and tests to meet performance specifications

• Diagnosing issues to the component level and providing feedback for necessary corrective action

• Performing inspection and analysis of production rejects/failures and customer returns

• Monitoring and reporting on all production activities, processes, and procedures

• Determining data-driven solutions and implementing quality improvement plans

• Conducting or assisting with quality training sessions

• Developing and improving instructions associated with inspections and rework

• Supporting Quality department metric outputs

• Documenting and maintaining Quality records

• Utilizing measurement equipment and coordinating/performing equipment calibration

• Identifying and executing solutions for improvements in quality, productivity, product cost, and safety

• Communicating non-conforming Quality issues with Purchasing, Engineering, and operations management

• Inputting data into Quality Database on Non-conforming Receiving and Failure Analysis of Components

• Performing inventory management tasks such as Kanban, cycle counting, and physical inventory

• Following safety practices and policies

• Performing inspections across all stages of production

• Performing any additional specialized tasks/skills as defined by the Quality Department

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have expert experience in assembling and disassembling a wide range of products, using drawings, work instructions, and tests to performance specifications

• Possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to diagnose issues to the component level

• Are cross-trained and able to perform essential tasks within the production/manufacturing operations

• Have experience in monitoring and reporting on production activities, processes, and procedures

• Are skilled in determining data-driven solutions and implementing quality improvement plans

• Have the ability to conduct or assist with quality training sessions

• Are proficient in utilizing measurement equipment and performing equipment calibration

• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments

• Are familiar with inventory management practices such as Kanban, cycle counting, and physical inventory

• Prioritize safety in the workplace
