Job Title: Millwright

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for reworking dull rolls in the re-assembly department. This role involves assembling parts of rolls based on work orders, performing quality checks using micrometers and calipers, and assisting with MIG welding using an automated welder. The candidate will work with large rollers for paper and steel mills, using overhead cranes to move and set the rollers in machines.

Responsibilities

  • Rework dull rolls in the re-assembly department.

  • Assemble parts of rolls according to work orders.

  • Check the quality of parts using micrometers and calipers.

  • Perform MIG welding with the assistance of an automated welder.

  • Operate overhead cranes to move and set large rollers in machines.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in tearing down and rebuilding motors.

  • Proficiency with micrometers and calipers for quality checks.

  • Ability to work from work orders and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • High School Diploma.

  • Experience with MIG welding

Work Environment

The work environment is an open warehouse with 15+ large roll machines. The plant can get crowded and hot, reaching temperatures of up to 110 degrees in the summer. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required. The facility has a metal and oil smell similar to a mechanic's garage. The company operates on three shifts, with the initial shift being 3rd shift (10:45 PM - 6:45 AM) for 1-2 years before moving to 1st shift (6:45 AM - 2:45 PM).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
