Job Title: QA InspectorJob Description

The QA Inspector assures that all products released for distribution comply with applicable specifications. This includes ensuring all materials in the warehouse are properly identified and stored, only released materials are used in production, and all materials are appropriately sampled and tested to meet specifications prior to their use in production. The QA Inspector will also assure compliance with SOPs, batch record instructions and manufacturing requirements. Other duties include receiving and sampling raw materials and components for appropriate testing, quarantining and releasing finished product for shipping, administering the label program, inspecting production lines, and assisting the Quality Manager in product investigations where deviations have occurred in manufacturing, or complaints or product failure has occurred.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Work Environment

The QA Inspector will work Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30, with some rotation on Saturdays. The team consists of 3 total inspectors and the supervisor. The QA Inspector will interface with production and warehouse personnel and perform sampling procedures in tandem with another inspector. The role involves approximately 70% office work and 30% inspections and auditing in production/warehouse environments, which can be dusty due to the powdered products or animal feed based products.
