Maintenance/Service Technician Job Summary:
Responsible for performing solar system maintenance and service.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement Tech Support Intake Form and Case Creation.
- Create optimizer/micro inverter site mapping and scan/enter product codes from design map.
- Monitor Tech Support email account and vendor portal notifications for customer system issues.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues with solar systems.
- Perform service and general maintenance on customers installed solar systems.
- Create Cases and Issues in Zoho Projects.
- Report findings/diagnostics Maintenance/Service Manager.
- Initiate Maintenance/Service processes by recording details in task management CRM per company process and procedure.
- Initiate warranty replacement requests and act point of contact for warranty work.
- Verify correct project information is in ZoHo Project Record (PR)/Cases Module as appropriate or project module.
- Support the commissioning of solar projects as they are completed and coordinate with the electrician of record on the project for remediation as needed.
- Maintain ownership of solar project commissioning report forms for both residential and commercial projects and submit changes/updates to engineering for approval.
- Complete all necessary forms or paperwork as assigned or directed by company processes and procedures.
- Identify tools, equipment, and processes necessary to complete work.
- Innovate and research new techniques to improve processes.
- Communicate with staff and vendors in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner.
- Maintain appropriate safety and professional training and certifications.
- Study applicable Maintenance/Service techniques, design software, and industry best practices.
- Assist Solar Installation Team in the field as needed.
