Benefit Eligible Benefit Eligible FLSA Status Exempt Office Location Anderson Center Location St. Paul, Minnesota Workplace Onsite Job Summary Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, and recruits an increasing number of students to the university from a designated region and generates and fosters partners and stakeholders. Responsibilities Provides individualized one-to-one recruitment through relationship development and communication w/students in regional territory. Meets individually with students and families. Follows up with students/families on their financial aid award letter. Completes administrative work and documentation of ongoing status of prospective students which includes, documenting all incoming and outgoing communication, detailing personal communication plans, and recording admissions process toward enrollment within the university database. Provides mass communication to prospective students within regional territory. Builds relationships with alumni, ministry leaders, education and guidance staff, and other community leaders for the purpose of building the Bethel brand within targeted communities. Reads and evaluates applications for admission. Retention/current student engagement. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Candidates must possess effective organization and communication skills and show attention to detail. Candidates must show proven ability to work with multiple tasks and projects well. Strong decision making and ability to guide clients through their decision making is essential. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Bethel University, particularly as it relates to the college's mission as a Christian college and the ability to clearly present the benefits of Christian liberal arts education. Individual should have strong skills in both written and oral communication, and the ability to motivate and understand the needs of prospective students. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a professional and confidential manner is necessary. Ability to work with students and families of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds assisting them with the admissions process. Experience Required: 2 years of experience emphasizing public relations, sales, and organizational skills with proven ability to facilitate varied groups of individuals and multiple projects. Preferred: Prior experience in an educational organization. Education Required: Bachelor's degree. Preferred: A degree from Bethel University or another Christian college. Additional Information Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Lifting and physical activity are a regular part of the position requirements. This is a 1.00 FTE, 12 month per year position. Must be willing to travel throughout the year - 15-20%. Must be willing to work non-routine hours as needed during certain times of the year.
