We are seeking an experienced Global Trade Compliance Manager (individual contributor) who is responsible for reducing business risk by developing, implementing, managing, and monitoring comprehensive import and export programs. You will be serving as the subject matter expert on regulations governing imports and exports, particularly US regulations. This role encompasses overseeing global trades across multiple countries and regions, including Asia, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role will be based in our Bloomington MN Headquarters. Responsibilities: + Develop and implement policies, procedures, processes, and systems for imports and export that support company objectives and goals. + Design and coordinate the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials, and other communication tools to ensure company’s global trade activities follow relevant regulations. + Oversee customs processes. + Partner closely with global internal partners to understand, educate and execute shipping standards and ensure compliance + Develop and implement internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance with rules and regulations. + Be a subject matter expert for import, as well as post-entry issues including, but not limited to, CF28/CF29s, Post Summary Corrections, Protests, and mitigations. + Build relationships with key points of contact at U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and participating government agencies (PGAs) to assist in the timely exchange of information and response to government inquiries. + Keep informed and advance information related to industry risks, changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes. + Manage supply chain security program to ensure compliance with CTPAT standards. + Responsible for global export activities, including AES filing, Denied Party Screening, and TSA Basic Qualifications: + Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a role involving developing and managing global trade and compliance programs in a corporate setting Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in a role involving developing and managing global trade and compliance programs within the CPG, ideally food industry + Secure and maintain Customs Brokerage License The employing subsidiaries of Schwan’s Company are Equal Employment Opportunity Employers.
