Insight Global Laboratory Manager- Semiconductor in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Job Description

A semiconductor subsidiary of Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced electronics laboratory engineer to be involved in a fast-paced test environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an ASICs electronics lab, order components, solder and repair of test boards, work with design engineers in testing of prototypes electronics.

Responsibilities:

 Installs, maintains, and inspects electronic test equipment. Performs diagnostic tests on electronic components to determine functioning level and capacity.

 Maintains test equipment calibration records and schedules calibration services to in alignment with audit requirements

 Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing equipment.

 Coordinates the testing of electronic device prototypes to specifications.

 Collaborating with digital, verification, and analog design teams to generate validation plans and execute tests

 Develop and document testing procedures for various electronic components and systems.

 Review test data and reports for accuracy and completeness.

 Stay informed about advancements in electronic testing technology and methodologies.

 Assisting with training and safety for individuals working in the lab.

 Interpreting technical drawings, training manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties.

 Performs non-precision calibration and minor repair of electronic test equipment

Skills and Requirements

-Degree or completed coursework in engineering or electronics.

-Testing/validation experience in an electronics lab environment

-Strong knowledge of operation of state-of-art test equipment including Oscilloscopes, BERTs, Source meters

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.

-Great interpersonal skills.

-Proficiency in hand soldering surface mount and thru-hole components

-Signal Integrity understanding and challenges with respect to complex test setups null
