Aerotek Production Associate in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Company Description:
Our client is a manufacturer of plastic products in the blown film industry located in Hudson, WI.
Picture the plastic that holds magazines in place when purchasing from the airport, or picture the plastic that you see wrapped around hay bails in Western Wisconsin and lastly if you were going to order new furniture or appliances. it is the wrap that holds things together.
Worksite Location: Hudson, WI 54016
Position: General Production Worker/Machine Operator
- Placement Type: Temp-to-hire (600 hours & then hired on directly with the company)
Open Shifts:
1 st Shift Hours: 7:00am-7:00pm (2-2-3 schedule) - x5 openings
12 hour Rotating shift
2 on (MON/TUE), 2 off (WED/THUR), 3 on (FRI,SAT,SUN), 2 off (MON/TUE), 2 on (WED/THUR), 3 off (FRI/SAT/SUN)
Every other weekend off!
36/48 hour weeks rotating.
2nd shift hours: 7:00pm-7:00am (2-2-3 schedule) - x3 openings
12 hour Rotating shift

starting Pay:
1st Shift Pay: $20/per hour (paid weekly)
2nd Shift Pay: $21/per hour (paid weekly)
Job description:
In this role the employee will be responsible for helping run 1 of 3 blown film lines.
This is a labor intensive job that is fairly fast paced.
The employee will operate, load, palatalize large plastic rolls to small size rolls.
MAJORITY OF TIME WILL BE SPENT: labeling, boxing, loading 50 pound plastic rolls and changing out cutting knives on the machine.
They will get into more machine operation with experience as that is the next level up "co-lead".
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts that require every other weekend availability.
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand 8-12 hours during a shift.
Essential reading and writing skills are required.
Preferred:
Minimum one year of experience in an industrial environment preferred.
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
Work Environment
- The production laborers must be able to adjust to changing priorities and be able to multi-task. The company is growing rapidly and they just purchased a new machine causing the need for hires. It does get a little warm during the summers and not climate controlled because of the heat that the resin beads need to get melted. For the most part it is very clean and they keep the workspace updated.
