The Northeast Education Practice Area at Public Consulting Group seeks and experienced Project Manager 2.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

· Develops and maintains work plans with baselines and earned value reporting to monitor progress.

· Leads the planning and implementation of assigned projects

· Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

· Defines project tasks and resource requirements

· Develops full scale project plans

· Manages project resource allocation

· Plans and schedules project timelines

· Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools

· Provides direction and support to project team

· Responsible for Quality assurance

· Constantly monitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders

· Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

· Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

· Responsible for Project evaluations and assessment of results

Required Skills

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Experience

· 5+ years in a project management capacity

· Demonstrated experience managing education technology or data management projects

· Desire to positively impact K-12 public education

· Experience with risk management and change management

Certification

· PMP Strongly desired

Working Conditions

Position is mostly remote, with the occasional (10-15%) need to travel to client and office sites for planning meetings, working sessions, and team celebrations, etc. Must reside within the Northeast United States
