Actalent QA Technician in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Job Title: QA Technician

Job Description

As a QA Technician, your primary responsibilities will include weighing finished products at specified intervals, recording deviations from standard, and informing the Production Supervisor to make proper weight adjustments.

Responsibilities:

  • Examining packaging labels, package fabrication, and code dates to ensure their quality and accuracy.

  • Perform hourly metal detector checks for potential foreign material in product (CCP), Critical Quality Point (CQP’s) checks, sensory evaluation of ingredients and finished products for Quality, and Allergen Control and necessary swab verifications.

  • Perform Chemical Analysis/Test on ingredients and finished goods, QA verifications and QA document controls.

  • Perform microbiological sampling, plating & results interpretation, and Ingredient Tanker receiving and sample analysis such as Viscosity, Brix and Etc.

Hard Skills

  • Knowledge of SQF standards, HACCP & Food Safety initiatives

  • Working familiarity with GMP and other food safety standards

  • Performing hourly metal detector checks for potential foreign material in product (CCP)

  • Performing Critical Quality Point (CQP’s) checks

  • Performing Allergen Control and necessary swab verifications

  • Performing Chemical Analysis/Test on ingredients and finished goods

  • Performing QA verifications and QA document controls

  • Performing Microbiological sampling, plating & results interpretation

  • Performing Production process verifications

  • Performing Raw Material Ingredients sampling per the QA Procedures

  • Knowledge of Good Lab Practices
