Description Planned Parenthood North Central States Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota Senior Staff Accountant - Remote, preferred within 5-state affiliate of IA, MN, ND, NE, SD Pay: $70,000 annually (experience will be compensated) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Shift times: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm (hours may be flexible) Location: Remote Job type: Exempt Questions? Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related area or equivalent work experience. 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience in accounting, business, or related area Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Routine accounting functions for bank accounts which can include: Perform bank transfers and journal entries. Prepare deposits and cash receipt entries for miscellaneous receivables. Reconcile bank accounts. Completing monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts as assigned: Research and reconcile all discrepancies. Create reconciling entries. Provide support for general ledger balances. Conduct reconciliation of subledger accounts to general ledger when applicable. Develop and manage processes for intracompany MOUs, RAAs, and grant Collaborate with staff on c4 and overlapping c3 accounting processes and management Collaborate with development on the management of incoming donations to 501(c)4 entities Manage public affairs 501(c)4 grant dollars, including intake, coding, tracking and budgeting for temporarily restricted grants Assist staff in the c4 and overlapping c3 budgeting process Collaborate with public affairs staff and compliance consultants in pulling reports and detail for reporting purposes Maintain accounting records to assist in compliance reporting to any necessary state, local and federal government agencies Record inter-company transactions, preparing invoices and reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close process Committed to collaborating in a diverse organization through equitable practices and an inclusive culture All other special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller About Us: At PPNCS, we believe all people deserve the right, the freedom, and the opportunity to follow their personal ambitions and choose their own path toward a healthier, more meaningful life.
