Crisis Hotline Program Manager
JOB STATUS: Full-time, 40 hrs. per week, Monday - Friday
SIGN-ON BONUS: $3,000 (Internal candidates that are currently employed here at NWHS are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.)
YOUR ROLE:
The Crisis Hotline Program Manager is responsible for coordination and administrative oversight of the Crisis & Information Hotline and the 988 program. The Program Manager will monitor agreements and responsibilities outlined in grants, contracts, and service supports provided to all NWHS programs and departments. The Program Manager will work alongside the Clinical Supervisor to ensure compliance with the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and National Suicidal Prevention Lifeline (NSPL) standards or care.
This is a supervisory role and is responsible for the recruiting, hiring, coaching, training, and ongoing support of staff.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Schedules staff and ensures coverage 24/7/365 days a year. Covers at the Hotline and 988 during times of high-call volume and/or when no available coverage.
Develops the Crisis & Information Hotline program in accordance with NWHS’s strategic plan, mission, and ethical standards. Ensures that American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and 988 standards of quality and care are maintained.
Maintains an up-to-date written protocols and procedures that are in alignment with industry standards, including 988 voice, chat and text services.
Oversees Emergency Financial Assistance Program. Ensures that all grant/contract eligibility requirements are maintained. Reviews and submits monthly reports to the NWHS Finance and Compliance Departments, as requested.
Ensures that the Crisis Hotline complies with all contract expectations and strategic partnerships, including clinical or emergency referrals. Reviews and updates monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to funders for quality assurance and reporting purposes.
Works with partners at OHA, Vibrant, and other parts of the crisis continuum to improve crisis system, ensures clinical and operational expectations of the 988 Lifeline and Chat to Text services are reflected in hotline policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, and/or equivalent experience or BS/BA with 2+years of supervisory experience and 3+years of related work experience in social service or mental health fields.
Experience in crisis counseling or clinical oriented work preferred.
Education and knowledge of organizational behavior, program development, and mental health best practices preferred.
Experience with program oversight and providing supervision.
Experience with instructing, coordinating, and evaluating programs.
