The Role

Lumen is growing, and we're searching for an exceptionally talented Direct Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll lead a dynamic team of Direct Sales Specialists, focusing on selling Lumen's cutting-edge Quantum Fiber products to residential customers. You'll be the driving force behind a team of sales representatives in Oregon and Utah, helping them reach new sales records. Ideally, you'll be based near the Portland or Salt Lake City area, as you'll be out in the field with each Sales Specialist several times a month. Get ready for some adventure, as up to 25% travel is part of the fun to support your team!

Location and Schedule

  • Seeking a candidate that resides at or near Portland, OR or Salt Lake City, UT.

  • There is a 25% travel expectation within the territory.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of Direct Sales Specialists in OR and UT, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and achieve sales goals.

  • Provide coaching, training, and support to the sales team to enhance their performance and professional development.

  • Conduct regular field visits with Sales Specialists to monitor progress, provide feedback, and support their sales efforts.

  • Collaborate with marketing, IT, and customer service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a direct sales environment.

  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor other sales professionals in value selling, prospecting, and sales closing skills are essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools.

  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$72690 - $96920 in these states: UT

$76330 - $101770 in these states: OR

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
