Job Description

The Senior Software/Embedded System Developer is responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing and debugging of platform software, including EUFI, firmware, operating systems, drivers and utilities for point of sale hardware products as well as assisting with the integration of application software.

Key responsibilities include working with multi-disciplinary teams to understand and define system requirements, coordinating and engaging in the development of combined hardware/software solutions with internal and external engineering groups and aggressively pursuing best practices for secure system design.

• Firmware:

• Proficient in MCU firmware development

• Understanding of UEFI development.

• Strong background in secure development practices

• Oversight of system design/security Architecture

• Responsible for Secure Design Reviews, Architecture Risk Analysis, Code Scans, Security Test Plans and other related items.

• Create Security Guides for new hardware products

• Ability to communicate professionally with both internal and external development partners to convey project requirements and for problem resolution.

• Ability to coordinate the consistent application of standards and processes across internal and externally developed products.

• Desire to continuously improve skills, increase knowledge, and explore new technologies to deliver high-quality output.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
