Summary/Objective

The Facilities Manager oversees the upkeep of all physical facilities and apartments.

• Ensures that the physical conditions of the property meet company standards.

• This includes general maintenance, such as the upkeep and repair of mechanical properties, electrical components, and plumbing, as well as the overall appearance of the facility.

• Most likely will delegate the issues to a subordinate laborer or a supervisor that has the technical capacity to fix the issue.

• Must be proficient in balancing a budget and making forecasts for future costs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work with a budget and control expenses

• Professional, courteous and positive personality

• Knowledge of apartment facilities management normally acquired by supervisory experience in facilities and or property management including one year on-site facilities manager experience.

• Proven record of successful facilities management.

• EPA Certification for CFC’s

• Management & Supervisory duties

• Plumbing and electrical experience

Supervisory Responsibility

• Supervise the performance of all maintenance services, control quality, efficiency and professionalism (daily).

• Plan for and oversee departmental growth.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; on-call emergency pager rotation is required.

Travel

Local travel is required. Driver’s license and personal vehicle required.

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma plus 3 years of supervisory experience

• EPA Certification for CFC’s

• Maintenance experience is required

Preferred Education and Experience

• Supervisory Experience.

• CPO Certification a plus
