JOB REQUIREMENTS: THE SALVATION ARMY North and Central Illinois Division Wonderland Camp and Conference Center POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Housekeeper/Set Ups LOCATION/DEPT: Wonderland Camp and Conference Center REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Supervisor FLSA CATEGORY: Non-Exempt STATUS TYPE: RPT/FPT MISSION The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center exists to support the ministry of the Salvation Army by providing the opportunity to experience Christ through focused programs in a natural, safe, camp conference environment. OUTCOMES To prepare and clean areas that are used regularly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Motel and deluxe housing will be cleaned, beds made, bathrooms cleaned, towels distributed and floors vacuumed. In a timely manner. Dorms, cabins, will be disinfected, bathroom and showers cleaned and blankets and pillows folded neatly on each bed. Preform seasonal deep cleaning of windows, walls, floors, etc. Assist the custodians during peak workloads with moving furniture, cleaning meeting areas, restrooms, etc. All other duties as assigned (this may entail other camp departments). REPOTING RELATIONSHIPS This position is supervised by the Housekeeping Supervisor. In contacts related to this position\'s duties this individual acts as a representative of The Salvation Army and its mission. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum age of 19 years old. Experience in industrial housekeeping is preferred. COMPETENCIES Ability to accept authority and work a flexible schedule. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self starter. An attention to detail. A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
