What we’re looking for

Toyota’s Program Finance Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to set and achieve profit targets and ensure accurate cost/profit estimations throughout the vehicle development life.

Reporting to the Manager, the person in this role will support the Program Finance department's objective to achieve vehicle profit targets in support of overall NA Regional Profit Target.

What you’ll be doing

  • 30% - Create planning schedule and kick-off project estimation. Develop and negotiate project targets with Chief Engineer and related department heads. Manage project schedule to ensure deliverables are met on-time and in accordance with the procedure. Follow up with working groups to monitor progress, identify gaps, and lead the team to resolve issues efficiently. Create reports and effectively communicate project achievement status to all levels of the organization.

  • 20% - Daily cross-functional and affiliate interactions, often at Senior Manager to General Manager level. Strong interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills required to ensure schedule, roles and responsibilities, and deliverables are understood and agreed.

  • 30% - Collaborate with Sales, Accessories, Design, Plant A&F/PE, and Logistics to develop and visualize cost / price impact of vehicle/unit change content. Identify and analyze areas for further study and kaizen. Create reports and effectively communicate project achievement status to all levels of the organization.

  • 10% - Lead financial analysis to support changes in NA manufacturing including new plants, new production lines, capacity studies, and localization studies.

  • 10% - Develop standardized data analytics, processes, systems, and optimization tools.

Qualifications/ What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Finance/Accounting or Engineering degree with related experience

  • 5+ years Project Finance Experience (Make vs. Buy, Business Cases, Corporate Strategy)

  • Proven success in financial analysis, presentation, interpersonal, and organization skills

  • Intermediate Excel (Lookups/Pivot Tables)

  • Proven cross-functional team leadership and success in managing multiple projects with competing deliverables

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA

  • Financial modeling and project management experience

  • Power BI, Tableau, SAP
