Summary

Reviews trade programs to determine proper systems(s) and enters into Blacksmith Forge and/or SAP CRM. Works with outside sales reps to determine broker programs from contracts. Reconciles customer program volumes, earnings, and payments using Essbase and/or Customer Tonnage report. Monthly/Quarterly/On-demand payments must be mailed within set guidelines. Ensures all payments/charge backs have proper approval prior to processing. Monitors promotion and claims approvals in the Forge/CRM system. Provides management support through customer statements, Essbase data marts, and Excel spreadsheets.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enters trade promotion/brokerage programs. Programs are to be reviewed for compliance to audit requirements, entered and approved prior to effective date. Performs program recalculations where needed.

  • Reconciles monthly quarterly sales activity to payment creation within trade promotional/brokerage system. Trade promotional checks are to be processed and mailed within 30 days of quarter end. Brokerage checks are to be processed and mailed within 15 days of month end.

  • Receives, analyzes and creates weekly claims payments. Obtains appropriate approval. Ensures that claims are processed against the proper program, customer and product group for accurate financial reporting.

  • Reviews, analyzes, codes and processes customer charge back (deductions) against the proper program, customer and product line. Ensures proper approval. Provides updates to management on outstanding, unresolved charge backs.

  • Supports Trade Promotions Supervisor and Claims Manager through special project analysis.

Experience and Education Requirements

REQUIRED: High school education is required. 2 – 5 years clerical/administrative experience.

PREFERRED: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred. Knowledge and understanding of Company’s Order through Cash and Supply Chain process desired. IT interfacing skills.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

  3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

  4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
