Hexagon Agility Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Region in SALISBURY, North Carolina

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern Region of the U.S.

Overview

The job function and typical work activities include:

  • Pursue new business in the territory through expansion of existing CNG fleet expansion and driving new adoption of CNG in lieu of traditional diesel

  • Develop a monthly, quarterly and annual territory plan to grow the business in the territory. This includes definition of number of units expected to sell by market segment along with associated dollars, planned customer/partner visits and ongoing tracking and reporting vs. goals and targets including travel expenses.

  • Maintain existing customer relationships through regular in-person visits, and account management and support of ongoing requirements

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product line and specifications and how to translate the customer’s requirements and a properly specified product factoring in range requirements, vehicle chassis applications, space requirements and project budgets. Work closely with the customer to translate the detailed vehicle specifications into an internal customer order for a seamless installation.

  • Translate the appropriate Fuel System specifications into an accurate and complete quotation for all facets of the vehicle integration using establish pricing protocols and remaining within price flexibility boundaries. Master the proprietary quote tools and product build out methodologies.

  • Control, influence and manage the multi-channel sales process, coordinating with the end customer, vehicle OEMs, chassis OEMs, engine OEMs and associated OEM dealer stores, and 3rd party installation partners.

  • Be a “subject matter expert” and ensure a leadership presence at industry seminars, workshops, symposiums and fleet nights. Broaden industry awareness thereby growing CNG new adoption, placing yourself as an invaluable resource to new adopters

  • Build a network of indirect partnership resources leveraging environmental advocacy, clean cities coalitions, clean fuels coalitions, natural gas and alternative fuel associations, Federal, State, County and Municipal authorities, fuel suppliers, fueling infrastructure suppliers, natural gas research facilities and other environmental influencers.

  • Communicate industry market conditions, competitive activity, and trending technology development and industry requirements to Sales Director and Marketing Director for assessment and action.

  • Position requires 50-75% travel within North America.

    Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales role ideally as Territory Manager or Regional Sales Manager.

  • Ideally, should have had experience selling in the heavy-duty truck, bus and/or vocational industry.

  • Thorough understanding of the automotive industry, structures and processes, preferably in the heavy duty sector.

  • Proficient in multi-channel sales processes, direct and indirect selling, vehicle specifications, vehicle layout drawings, installation criteria

  • Ideal candidate will be process and results driven with the ability to make decisions.

  • Strong teamwork & interpersonal skills. Specifically, this position requires a robust ability to work across many workgroups, functional areas, facilities, and cultures

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing. Experience with MS office suite and SharePoint (or other information sharing systems).

  • Must have a valid passport and driver’s license and be able to travel internationally in North America

  • Strong ability to prospect, plan and execute to grow business in the territory, a proven “hunter” and “closer”

  • Motivated, Customer-focused and highly energetic.

    Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a highly engineered product / process environment

  • Experience with Salesforce, IFS and ShowPad an asset.

  • Fluency in Spanish a plus

  • Come with a book of contacts in the heavy-duty trucking, bus or refuse market sectors

    Commision Plan in addition to base salary
