MASTERCONTROL Account Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

JOB SUMMARY:

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for working with our existing customers in a consultative capacity to identify new opportunities for product growth. This is a sales position. The Account Manager's Primary role is to find additional business opportunities by developing relationships with current customers within an assigned territory and creating strategic plans in partnership with their assigned customers. The AM works with Customer Success Managers and Associates to develop long-term strategies and specific campaigns. The AM builds and maintains relationships with existing customers through multiple strategies, including -- but not limited to -- campaigns, phone calls, e-mails, and on-site visits. The AM will work with their client accounts in relational-based consultative engagements focused on discovery and understanding the client's needs better to determine how and which MasterControl solutions would best address their pain points and expand MasterControl into the clients' organizations. This may include various tasks, including account reviews, proposing short-term and long-term projects, bringing the right MasterControl service resource, providing pricing quotes, product demonstrations, and participation in trade shows or various sales or marketing campaigns at the direction of sales management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Outbound customer prospecting for the development of targeted opportunities
  • Spearhead customer relationship activities
  • Maintain accurate customer account data in contact management software
  • Develop strategic plans to grow customer product use and uptake
  • Create, maintain, forecast, and report on opportunities using contact management software
  • Facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings
  • Troubleshoot client issues and coordinate with needed MasterControl departments for resolution

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Software sales and/or marketing experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required
  • The ability to understand, implement, create, and communicate standard operating procedures for job functions is required
  • Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer systems, and communication tools are required
  • Ability to complete projects by critical deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences, Medical Devices, and Manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred
  • Past software sales experience preferred

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree in a technical or business discipline (preferred or equivalent experience)
  • Work experience should include a minimum of 2 years in a software sale, software sales support role, Life Science, or
  • Production/Manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work non-standard hours
  • Some travel as required (15%)
  • Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended period s
  • Bending, stooping, and lifting are required on occasion
