Job Summary

committed to advancing the U’s teaching, research, patient care, and community outreach––all in
conjunction with our corporate and foundation partners.
The Associate Director will lead continued funding growth for a wide range of research and program initiatives by working collaboratively with faculty and staff to monitor, strategize about, apply for, and report on grants and gifts. Housed within Advancement (with headquarters on lower campus), you will join a team of three CFR staff and a larger office of fundraising professionals. You will also work closely with leaders from across the university and U Health.
The work requires a deft approach, informed by an understanding of academia, foundation policies

also write well, get along with academics, and show interest in the goals of our internal and
external partners.
One day you may meet with a dean to plan a new initiative, and the next you may edit proposals and send emails about upcoming opportunities. In all cases, you will play a critical role in building
