POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, positive person to join our team as a Glass Technician at our Ken Garff Body & Glass dealership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Auto glass repair and replacement (in-shop & mobile)

• Mechanical vehicle repairs relating to auto glass

• Negotiate pricing with various partners & vendors

• Inspect vehicles for dimensional accuracy and test drive them to ensure proper installation and handling.

• Identify and remove any non-safety items (broken glass, adhesives, etc.)

• Install glass, windshield in the correct sequence, ensuring compatibility, adhesion and durability.

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Salary based on experience

• Must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S

• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience, creativity, and an eye for detail.

• Some previous relevant experience required.

• Experience with Inventory Control Software, Internet and Microsoft Office Products

• Valid in-state driver's license.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed outside an office setting .
