Job Summary

The University of Utah Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training is looking for two Doctoral of Physical Therapy students per cohort to run and maintain the lab A/V equipment used during lab immersions and live sessions. During lab immersions, students will also help clean and maintain the lab spaces. When lab immersions are not in session, students will work closely with the Marketing Lead to assist with collecting and organizing digital content to be used for social media on Department pages.

Some A/V, computer technical support, and/or social media experience is preferred, but not required.

This job requires students to be eligible for and have accepted federal Work-Study funds.

Responsibilities

Students are required to be available 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after each lab immersion class session to ensure video conferencing equipment, audio, cameras, and presentation displays are working appropriately. One student will be required to help adjust A/V settings as required by faculty.

Troubleshooting equipment and computers will be required, as well as communicating what’s happening to the rest of the team. Training and additional support will be provided.

Students will work closely and collaborate with the department Marketing Lead to understand content needs and priorities of the program/pathway. Tasks include, but are not limited to,

  • Collect, create, upload, and organize user-generated content showing the department activities,

achievements, events, research, and more.

  • Support the development of marketing materials by ensuring all photos, videos, graphics,

copywriting, and additional content are stored and organized in the shared drive.

  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing lead, including other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be accepted to or enrolled in the Doctoral of Physical Therapy program – Hybrid Pathway.

Some A/V or computer technical support experience is preferred, but not required.

Good spoken and written communication skills.

Work well in a team.

This job requires students to be eligible for and have accepted federal Work-Study funds.
