As a key member of the Graduate School’s student support team, the Coordinator – Academic Program will support the operations and logistics of the School’s fellowship efforts, championing internal awards processes and access to external, nationally-competitive awards. The Coordinator will provide administrative support, event coordination, and frontline customer services to incoming and current students, faculty and staff, and university leadership.
We seek an experienced, collaborative, self-motivated, candidate with exceptional organizational and planning skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally with multiple, diverse stakeholders and partners are necessary. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills. This a full-time, fully benefitted position that reports to the Assistant Dean of the Graduate School. This position may include some evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities
In addition to the responsibilities above, the duties of the Coordinator include but are not limited to:
oversee the logistics of internal fellowships and assistantships,
coordinate faculty review committee assignments and meetings,
provide support to reviewers / departments / students and answer general questions,
distribute and track award offers,
administer award payments and benefits,
support stewardship efforts for donor-funded awards, including the coordination of thank-you notes and coordination of donor events, mailings, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for three years of related work experience). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
