Ultradent is looking for an Engineering Technician. Main responsibilities include supporting and assisting engineers, and maintenance, in engineering and maintenance related activities with an emphasis on support to manufacturing. This is a very hands-on position and requires the ability to think fast and adapt to changes based on current priorities. The Engineering Technician is expected to follow and encourage safe practices and enforce company safety policies. This position is on Day Shift, 10 hours per day Monday through Thursday.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

General Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical assembly of equipment

• Gather and evaluate production and product related data

• Execute experiments

• Mechanical design

• Willingness to work in a group environment, or on your own. To take responsibility for assigned projects, to ensure they are completed as intended and on time.

• Familiarity with testing methods, so that they are executed properly.

• Able to use standard computer applications such as Word, Excel, and internet applications.

• Willingness to express ideas, even if they are different.

• Ability to get things done without a lot of supervision.

• Willingness to follow the plan, even if your plan would be different.

  Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Ability to use CAD software

• Communication skills both verbal and written

• Passion for completing challenging projects

• Ability to follow instructions

• Methodical problem solving approach

• Ability to produce and read mechanical drawings

• Ability to read electrical schematics

• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools

• High attention to detail.
