BISHOP WOODCRAFT Finish Carpenter - Staircase specialist (5 YRS EXPER REQ) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

We operate in the Salt Lake, Summit, Wasatch, Davis Counties, and surrounding areas. Position Summary: Full time team member working Mon -- Fri. as a field installer. Dependability is very important as is quality of work. Experience and skills will be given hiring preference.

Objectives:

· Install high end custom hardwood staircases and railings

· Cut and assemble stair components including treads, risers, balusters, handrails and newel posts.

· Provide exceptional expertise and quality

· Meet or exceed jobsite deadlines

· Work in a safe and efficient manner

· Maintain regular communication in a friendly and professional manner with clients, co-workers, site foreman and other subs on the jobsite.

· Pay attention to project details, make sure you have the right material for the scope of work.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years' experience building custom staircases and railing.

· Highly goal oriented and actively pursuing personal & professional excellence and advancement

· Sound Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.

· Knowledge of Proper Layout and design of stair & railing components

· Knowledge of wood species and nature of wood.

· Proficiency in the gluing process.

· Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including cutting, chisel, and sanding skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail and precision to ensure quality standards.

· Well organized including station setup and workflow.

· Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

· Provide own tools and vehicle.

· Complete daily training as outlined in the company handbook.

· Communicate with Project Manager any questions or concerns about job or schedule.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Strong adaptability and positive mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
