State of Utah - Jobs Human Resource Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

*Do you have experience partnering with employers to plan,develop and deploy effective human resources strategies? The Utah Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) HR Field Office *

team. 

 

You will lead a team to effectively deliver high quality human resources support and partner with DHHS management to effectively attract and retain talent.   To be successful in this position,a knowledge of state and federal employment laws and experience in recruitment and selection strategies is required.  

This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office (3 days a week in office required) and telework days. The office is located at The Department of Heath and Human Services (DHHS) 195 No 1950 West. Salt Lake City,Utah. Please note,a position's eligibility for telework is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason.

Preference may be given to current DHRM employees.

 

All candidates selected to fill vacancies at the Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) may be reassigned to other work locations within Salt Lake or Utah counties at any time based on business need.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 3 years of experience as a human resource professional or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience as a human resource  professional.
  • Demonstrated management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of human resource principles.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the effective use of data.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
