Description

The Director of Finance reports to the Vice President of ICM and is accountable for managing, analyzing, tracking, and reporting on the Company’ financial objectives. This position works with the various department managers within ICM, while being responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals. The Director of Finance will work closely with senior management to ensure that financial objectives are met and that financial processes are efficient and effective.

Additionally, the Director of Finance will have a dotted-line reporting structure into Campbell Company’s CFO, ensuring proper communication, transparency, and compliance with corporate objectives and deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve business goals.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and manage the preparation of audit schedules.

Management Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports for management.

  • Responsible for internal financial management reporting for the each of the organization’s business units.

  • Work in conjunction with the IT group and Corporate Controller to ensure financial management reporting tools and processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business.

  • Develop and prepare a monthly Management Reporting Package for business unit encompassing global performance.

  • Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.

  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Investigate and explain variances between planned and actual results.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

  • Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Work with department heads to develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts.

  • Develop and manage budgets for departments and the organization.

  • Support the allocation of resources based on strategic priorities.

  • Lead the monthly and or quarterly global P&L forecast process.

  • Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to business partners.

  • Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis.

  • Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic initiatives and business plans.

  • Predict future financial performance and provide insights.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures.

Cash Management:

  • Monitor and manage working capital.

Strategic Planning:

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies and initiatives.

Systems and Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead or participate in financial systems implementations and upgrades.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience with strategy development and implementation

  • Able to communicate effectively and lead others through change and new strategic initiatives.

  • Able to build effective teams, coach and develop others.

  • An individual who seizes opportunities and takes initiative as appropriate.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to grasp the Company’s short- and long-term priorities and develop systems, processes, and policies to support the achievement of them in a cost-effective manner.
