GSBS ARCHITECTS Interior Designer Level 2 in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

We have immediate openings, in our Salt Lake City and Fort Worth offices, for interior designers with at least seven years of professional experience and strong design sensibility. A bachelor's degree in interior design or interior architecture is required. A master's degree in interior design or interior architecture, in addition to the bachelor's degree, can be substituted for 2 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to conceptualize, develop and execute high quality design projects

·         Generate interior architectural concepts for interior-led projects, including full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating interior design assignments.

·         Plan and design interior aspects of large projects or multiple smaller projects by investigating, evaluating and recommending appropriate concepts and approaches to project teams

·         Analyze design elements, planning options and code requirements

·         Integrate visual design concepts with structural, mechanical and electrical components

·         Provide subject matter expertise on specific components of interior design

·         Research, compile and record information related to system and product selection for use in specifications and design documents 

·         Plan and execute construction document sets

·         Draft finishes, specialties, and furnishings sections of project specifications

·         Coordinate with contractors and consultants

·         Mentor less experienced staff

·         Participate in marketing efforts

·         Capable of working through technical aspects of design and design detailing

·         Familiarity with furniture and equipment planning and products

·         Proficient in Revit, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam

·         Proficiency in Enscape, Sketchup, Rhino, Lumion, Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and profit-sharing bonuses. Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience. GSBS values and prefers in-person collaboration but gives employees the flexibility to work from non-office locations at times and when effective and coordinated with project, team, and firm needs.
