Job Description:
L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Inventory Support - Dispatcher to join our team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by analyzing documentation and paperwork while moving materials to support the build of high-performance data link systems and products. Performs material movements and system data functions while interacting with various departments.
Essential Responsibilities:
Work from oral & written instructions using a computer
Make decisions related to priority, packaging, and material handling
Move all shop orders to next build operation
Maintain material flow of materials from build initiation to completion
Release transportation holds
Accurately handle and track all material using SAP MRP system
Locate lost orders, works closely with Production Planning where applicable
Frequently lift, twist, bend, and rotate with up to 50 pounds
Basic Qualifications:
Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
8 ½ years of experience in stores, shipping, or receiving is preferred
Experience operating hand carts and pallet jacks
Ability to work overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work
Ability to perform in a team environment with good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of packaging procedures, materials, and inventory used in packaging and/or handling of finished goods
