The Mgr. Applications role is responsible for selecting, developing and managing a team to develop and enhance existing and new product and services. The manager will partner with internal customer groups and deliver technology solutions to enable efficient and effective business processes. The ability to motivate change, communicate strategically about technology, and an eye for improving organizational efficiencies are keys to success.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
Works closely with business partners to maintain alignment of team's work with broader company objectives and strategic goals
Applies knowledge of the business to oversee the design and implementation of IT solutions in support of business objectives
Drives technology vision, direction and architecture for the products and services in their area of responsibility; Reduces technical debt while continuing to drive new capabilities
Prioritizes and coordinates break/fix activities with internal partners and staff to meet system availability SLA targets > 99.9%
Oversees and responsible for all aspects of project management, including managing and monitoring team's performance to ensure successful project completion
Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for team members
Prepares, monitors and manages capital and expense budgets
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree and minimum of seven (7) years' experience in IT
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field and a minimum of ten (10) years' experience
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
Exemplary vendor management skills
Strong knowledge of technology trends and ability to translate those trends into effective business applications
Experience leading and managing large IT projects
Successful record of delivering IT solutions using practical technologies
Preferred: Prior experience as a software developer and/or leading a team of developers
Preferred: Previous experience in process automation
Preferred: Knowledge in implementation or support of cloud/SaaS applications
Preferred: Experience in the energy or utility industries
