Role

The product team is part of Mastercard’s Open Banking division and brings to life our vision of empowering consumers to benefit from their own financial data. We are enthusiastic about creating solutions that unlock innovation and streamline everyday consumer experiences. Many leading organizations use the Mastercard Open Banking platform to deliver some of the industry’s most compelling services. Open Banking is a fast-growing area of Mastercard's business.

This role requires product management expertise as well as the ability to effectively interface with external clients and partners. The Manager, Product Management, will oversee a set of products and serve as the product SME for clients consuming those products. This individual will have both product management and relationship management skillsets.

In the product manager role, you will:

• Function as a business owner and manage long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for a set of commercialized products

• Oversee product evolution, define the product strategy and roadmap, implement improvements within the product’s lifecycle, and conduct ongoing care and maintenance of products

• Consult with clients to understand and implement their product needs and serve as a key resource for clients consuming the products

• Communicate the product vision within the company, including leadership

• Define and build products and enhancements to products

• Create user stories, set priorities for product development, and work closely with engineering teams to align on product requirements and development timelines

• Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis and become an expert on the market and competing products

• Create a pricing strategy that meets revenue and profitability goals

• Work with product marketing to create product messaging and collateral

• Brief and train the sales team on products, support sales in prospect/client meetings and opportunities and assist in responding to RFPs

We are looking for a highly energetic product professional who is willing to jump into an ever-evolving team and hit the ground running. The Manager, Product Management, is collaborative, accountable, and enthusiastic about being part of a highly valued team. You have a desire to think, define and execute on product and business driven priorities and enjoy collaborating closely with clients and internal and external partners.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Intermediate to advanced experience as a product manager with demonstrated success defining, building, and launching products, preferably in fintech

• Experience collaborating closely with clients and external partners as a product SME, responding to client needs, resolving issues, and providing product support

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills and the ability to tailor communications to different audiences

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Business Management, or related field preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, including engineering teams working in an Agile/Scrum framework

• Strong technical background including familiarity or experience with API (JSON) is required; experience with technical tools (Tableau, SQL, Splunk) preferred

• Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) preferred

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Pay Ranges

Salt Lake City, Utah: $119,000 - $190,000 USD
