Are you a physician interested in consulting with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services?    Incumbents in this job will evaluate patient needs,review cases,and prepare treatment programs based on patient information. Example of Duties

• Serve on Utah s *weekly Medicaid *Medical Review Committee to review prior authorization decisions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and promote preventative services.
• Analyze data and utilize evidence-based practices to provide recommendations on clinical decision-making
• Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in healthcare quality and population health.
• Provide expertise in best standards of care.

No direct patient care.

* *Typical Qualifications

•  Medical Doctor,licensed in the state of Utah
•  Demonstrated expertise in healthcare quality and population health
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•  Ability to analyze data and use evidence-based practices to inform decision-making
•  Commitment to improving the health and well-being of Medicaid members in Utah
