Job Description:

The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations, and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules

  • Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software

  • Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.

  • Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time

  • Effectively communicate detailed schedule development to stakeholders, department leads, production management, and executive management

  • Perform detailed schedule, risk, and continuous improvement-based analysis to identify, develop, and drive solutions

  • Frequently lift, twists, and rotates with 32 pounds on a consistent basis

  • Work overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift hours as needed by program

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or other highly schedule-based environment

  • Experience in project or program execution techniques

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems

  • Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings
