The Governor s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) is seeking a P
*rogram Support Specialist *
that will support the Utah Broadband Center (UBC). The program support specialist is an administrative position that provides support to the Center s director and staff. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude,great aptitude,self-motivated,enjoy engaging with people and be a creative,proactive thinker.

Principal Duties
- Serve as the frontline contact; provide office management,answer phones,and respond to constituent inquiries
- Schedule,create agendas,and send meeting invites including creating links for registration platforms,and take minutes for in-person and virtual meetings. Set up and facilitate Zoom meetings,in-person meetings,special events,hybrid meetings organizing agendas; notice meetings on the public meeting notice website,order food,keeping meeting announcements up-to-date on the broadband.utah.gov website,and other duties as needed
- Manage calendar for travel,special events,conferences,etc.
- Assist in the administration of gra nts by learning the details and speaking with clarity about grant opportunities offered. Direct questions and queries to relevant team members
- Be a team participant in various team collaboration and individually assigned duties
- Utilize Salesforce or similar tool to set up and track key performance indicators,maintain contact information,and send bulk emails
- Maintain an efficient electronic filing system of contracts,invoices,payments,and other program information
- Become familiar with Concur for travel requests and reimbursements,submitting group gathering requests,and managing the Purchase-card and reconciling statements
- Collaborate with other departments within GOEO and facilitate the needs of the broadband office
- Work closely with businesses,the public,and government officials responding to emails and phone calls. Maintain a comprehensive contact list and facilitate communication between UBC and key stakeholders
- Assist with communications i.e. writing and editing emails,newsletters and other program and informational materials
- Order swag,facilitate creation of vendor booth materials,pop-ups and be able to travel to various events to man vendor tables and share Center information
- Be a liaison with the marketing and communications department (Marcomm) to keep the broadband webpage updated including current events and posting meeting slides,recordings,and other content
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate
- At least two years of administrative experience or relevant education
- Experience in Microsoft Office,Adobe,and Google Suites
- Virtual meeting technical skills including hosting,recording,presenter slides,and monitoring participant audio and video
- Excellent customer service,interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of or quick learner of CRM (Salesforce) and Concur
- Flexibility to balance long-range planning with occasional urgent requests,multiple simultaneous assignments,and priority shifts
- Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
