Job Summary

Drs.Jaewhan KimandFernando Wilsonare seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join their dynamic research team. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting and managing research projects, with a strong emphasis on scientific writing and adherence to ethical guidelines, including involvement in the Institutional Review Board ( IRB ) process.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct literature reviews and contribute to the development of research proposals.

  2. Design and implement research protocols, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and IRB requirements.

  3. Assist with scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and research reports for publication.

  4. Assist in the preparation and submission of documents to the IRB , ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  5. Contribute to the preparation of research presentations for internal and external audiences.

  6. Collaborate with principal investigators and other team members to achieve project goals.

  7. Assist in data collection and data cleaning.

  8. Assist with event planning and logistics, such as academic meetings, workshops, or conferences.

  9. Liaison with faculty, staff or administrators as needed.

  10. Assist in other tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferences

  1. A Master’s or higher degree in a related field is preferred.

  2. Proven experience in scientific writing, including the preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals.

  3. Familiarity with the Institutional Review Board ( IRB ) process and human subjects research ethics.

  4. Possess a basic understanding of statistical analysis.

  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  8. Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity.

  9. Prior experience in healthcare or biomedical research is a plus.
