We are seeking a dedicated Security Field Coordinator to join our team in the Salt Lake City area. The ideal candidate will have their own vehicle and be responsible for traveling to remote, unoccupied job sites to monitor for any suspicious activity, particularly due to rising issues with homelessness and encampments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Site Monitoring: Conduct weekly site visits, spending 8-12 hours traveling to various remote, unoccupied job sites. Monitor the surroundings from within your vehicle to ensure safety and observe for any suspicious activity, particularly related to homelessness and encampments. NOTE: This position is not allowed to directly engage with trespassers.

• Documentation: Use a company-provided cell phone to capture photos of the areas visited. Maintain detailed records of all observations, including dates, times, and specific activities noted. Ensure all documentation is thorough and accurate for future reference and action.

• Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Determine the appropriate mode of communication (email or phone call) based on the urgency and nature of the information. Ensure all relevant parties are informed and included in communications.

• Recommendation and Coordination: Based on observations, recommend necessary security measures such as the installation of security cameras or fences. Work closely with vendors and other coordinators to initiate, follow through, and complete service requests. Ensure all actions are documented and tracked to completion.

• Vendor Management: Engage with vendors to obtain quotes, compare services, and coordinate the installation or implementation of security measures. Maintain good relationships with vendors to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.

• Additional Duties: Participate in corporate training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures. Attend meetings to provide updates on on-site observations and security measures. Assist with budget and financing tasks related to security measures and vendor services. Conduct vendor comparisons to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service.

• Must have a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Must have an understanding of finances. Comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets

• Proficiency in documenting findings and coordinating with various stakeholders.

• Availability to start immediately.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid position: Work from home with weekly travel to job sites

• Laptop, cell phone, and standard car wear and tear reimbursement provided.

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
