Job Description:

As a Supply Chain Manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing a team of purchasing professionals to assure that all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of required goods and services, in support of US Department of Defense contracts, are accomplished. The applicant will execute, measure, report, optimize, and systematically negotiate all acquisitions to drive quality, on-time delivery, and cost savings; playing a critical role in developing and maintaining good relationships with our suppliers, while maintaining compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage the supply chain team to achieve quality, cost, and on-time performance objectives.

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that increase efficiency and speed.

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.

  • Focus on cost management, technology integration, and process development.

  • Ensure supply chain processes and every procurement action meets all FAR/DFAR and Public Law requirements and standards.

  • Evaluate and report on KPIs.

  • Train and guide employees towards effective supply chain strategies.

  • Provide constructive feedback, and implement continuous improvements to the supply chain process.

  • Ability to travel as required by business needs (10%).

  • Be able to obtain a US security clearance.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field and 12 years of prior relevant experience; or Master’s degree and minimun of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts including forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, and product lifecycle.

  • Experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP).

  • Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind.

  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
