Job Description:

The System Engineer – Test position owns the test process, including concept, design, root cause analysis, and corrective action. This Engineer will become a subject matter expert via collaboration with Design and Systems Engineering. This Engineer will then apply their knowledge to create and refine test processes implemented by Testers and Technicians in Operations. Whenever issues arise, this Engineer is dedicated to determine why the issue occurred and implementing corrective action to prevent future, similar failures.

Essential Functions:

  • Define, trace and maintain test process requirements

  • Test procedure creation and maintenance

  • Improve test yield through root cause and corrective action

  • Create product related technical information in support of Operations

  • Ensures overall technical performance for Test Engineering developments

  • Work with Engineering to facilitate the transition of products from design to production

  • Provide input to Engineering to support product life cycle management

  • Project management for Test Engineering development

  • Mentor Engineers with less experience

  • Provide input to organizational vision

  • Provide technical test consultation to internal organizations, contract manufacturers or customers

  • Represent Test Engineering in technical discussions to outside organizations

  • Evaluate contract manufacturers capabilities to provide required products or services

  • Engineer with experience debugging RF problems/equipment.

  • Experience with using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, digital multimeters, power supplies.

  • Experience with circuit analysis, laboratory equipment, root cause analysis, data analysis, technical writing, and process design and evaluation.

  • Participate in product design reviews

  • Support manufacturing floor to help overcome production issues

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
