Flexible hours to work with class schedule. Will need to be available for some in-person meetings but a hybrid schedule can be negotiated. This position will be 15-20 hours weekly with an occasional evening for student events.

Job Summary

The social media assistants will work closely with Director of Student Success and Engagement and the Associate Director of Editorial & Media Strategy to meet social media outreach objectives. This will include platform management to optimize social media accounts and promote college presence on various platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Collaborating with our team, you will assist in generating high-quality written and visual content. This may include gathering college stories, filming and editing interviews, photographing and filming events.

Responsibilities

Manage campaigns across social media channels and newsletters.

Work with team to develop daily, weekly, and monthly social media calendar.

Develop and promote content by regularly posting content, responding to comments, and engaging with other social media accounts.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a student at the University of Utah .

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of social media best practices.

  • Photography and videography skills.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Sharp attention to detail.
