Ken Garff Automotive Group Systems Administrator IT Specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah

Our Corporate office is currently looking for a Systems Administrator IT Specalist that aligns with our core values and acts with respect, intelligence, growth, honesty and teamwork.

  • Hands-on experience with backup solutions (VEEAM, ExaGrid, SQL) and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to system administration and automation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the IT team and across departments.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of 2 and managing and maintaining our Windows Server environment, Office 365 services, PowerShell scripting, VMware virtualized environments, and ensuring robust security measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows servers and workstations.

  • Administer Active Directory, including user account management, group policies, and security settings.

  • Manage and configure Office 365 and Exchange environments.

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal systems and desktop team.

  • Collaborate with the IT team on system upgrades, firmware patches, and general maintenance.

  • Support and manage tools like ManageEngine.

  • Linux Server Administration

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation.

  • Strong experience with Windows operating systems and Active Directory.

  • Experience managing Office 365 and Exchange environments.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • ManageEngine experience (optional but preferred).

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with ManageEngine suite (ServiceDesk).

  • Experience with server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix) is a plus.
