Robert Half Systems Administrator in Salt Lake City, Utah

Description We are inviting applications for the role of Systems Administrator in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is vital to our tech team and involves the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. The successful candidate will be adept at managing virtual servers, integrating automation processes, and handling software and hardware issues.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and network servers

• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes

• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

• Recognize patterns and trends and develop solutions to resolve and prevent recurring issues

• Prepare documentation and technical specifications for IT staff for planning and implementing new services or upgrades of IT infrastructure

• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures

• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

• Oversee capacity monitoring, storage planning, and maintaining system performance

• Proficiency in handling Microsoft infrastructure technologies including, Active Directory, Windows and Server OS, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise. Requirements • Should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator

• Must have proficiency in Active Directory

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server is required

• Expertise in Microsoft 365 Enterprise is essential

• Demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot system outages and identify network inefficiencies

• Proven track record in system upgrades, backups, and data recovery

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide optimal solutions

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or MCSA: Windows Server 2016 will be advantageous

• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and network security best practices is desirable. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
