In the role of a Transit Policy Specialist, we'll count on you to: * Complete tasks as designated by the Project Manager including but not limited to preparing and coordinating Federal Transit Administration (FTA) project management plans; preparing weekly and monthly progress reports. * Provide technical skills and experience related to the collection, analysis, and reporting of operational data sets to ensure compliance with legislatively mandated uniform performance standards and generate quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for the State of Utah. * Provide technical skills and knowledge of the eligibility requirements for various state and federal funding programs, oversight of the implementation of grant funded capital projects, and submittal of required grant performance reports. * Coordinate with Federal, State, and Local Agencies on required grant performance reporting as well as serve as demonstrate general knowledge of federal policy and grant guidelines. * Assist in the scope and fee development of transit projects that include modeling, operational and statistical analysis and service planning. * Assist in construction estimation and plan review. * Assist with the development and writing of Federal, State and other grant applications in support of infrastructure projects. * Serve as support personnel for grant support contracts. Demonstrate general knowledge of federal policy and grant guidelines. * Assist in preparation of written reports and documentation related to grants, client presentations, and compilation of marketing materials. * Ability to effectively organize and complete multiple tasks in a schedule-sensitive environment. * Assist in preparation for and participate in public information meetings and hearings. * Assist in developing a transit client base by identifying target clients, actively market and develop clients in coordination with Area operations and marketing. Engage in high profile project pursuits involving extensive client interactions in coordination with Utah Transit Market Sector Leader and Utah Transportation Business Development Leader. * Perform other duties as needed.
