Position Overview
The US International Tax Manager will drive efficiency, clarity, and overall quality based on Autodesk’s global tax strategy. This involves considerable collaboration with team members from treasury, legal, finance, accounting, and other tax groups. Providing outstanding customer service to Autodesk tax teams and business groups is fundamental to this role. Specifically, the US International Tax Manager will focus on the company’s compliance with all US international tax laws for reporting under ASC 740 and income tax returns. This will be executed through careful review of supporting computations, documentation of tax positions, and clear communication with team members. This work includes running analytics, participating in the tax planning process, and performing relevant research.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review the US International tax aspects of quarterly and annual US GAAP Income Tax Provision, including Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, FTC, and FIN 48
Collaborate with the US income tax compliance team to prepare and review all required US International tax forms for foreign entities, including but not limited to Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 8990, 8991, 8992, and 8993
Support the US international tax aspects of Federal and State tax audits
Assist with special projects as assigned by leadership, including but not limited to forecasting, mergers & acquisitions, internal reorganizations, tax modeling, and process improvements
Research and analyze impact of enacted and potential law changes and prepare memos to support tax positions
Ensure timely delivery of completed projects and keep appropriate documentation, which is essential to the operations of the tax groups at Autodesk
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Law
At least 5 years of experience in US international tax, with core understanding of income tax provision and accounting requirements under US GAAP (ASC 740 and related guidance)
Big 4 Accounting or Law Firm experience is a plus
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, promote innovation and continuous learning
Strong Excel skills, experience with online team communication tools (Slack/Teams), intellectual curiosity, and outcome accountability
Excellent analytical skills, including knowledge of tax accounting software and technology
Proven ability to collaborate, communicate, and manage complexity in simultaneous projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the technology industry, including a robust network of peers and advisors; however, the right candidate from other industries may be considered for this role
An interest in growing tax technical knowledge is desired

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $101,600 and $164,340. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
