Join SL Tech & Workforce Education as a part-time Cybersecurity Instructor and help shape the future of our students by providing high-quality education in the field of cybersecurity. This position involves teaching foundational and advanced cybersecurity concepts in a supportive and dynamic learning environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about cybersecurity, skilled in hands-on instruction, and dedicated to fostering student success. This part-time position requires working at multiple SLCC campuses where classes will be held in-person and online, in the evenings.

  • Deliver engaging and effective classroom and lab instruction on cybersecurity topics, including network security, ethical hacking, security protocols, and more.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and learning objectives of the program.
  • Utilize active and applied learning strategies to ensure students gain practical skills and knowledge.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and exams to support student learning and improvement.
  • Track and report student progress, including maintaining accurate attendance and performance records.
  • Assist students with technical challenges related to coursework and lab activities.

  • Contribute to the development and updating of cybersecurity curriculum to keep pace with industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine course content and instructional materials.
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and effective learning environment in both classroom and lab settings.
  • Report any maintenance or technical issues related to lab equipment and resources.
  • Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Participate in professional development activities and required training sessions.
  • Maintain open communication with students, colleagues, and program coordinators to support the overall success of the program.
  • Be available to teach courses at various times and locations as required by the program.
