Description:

Valero is looking for an Accounting Coordinator to join the team at the Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Under general supervision, this position analyzes and processes accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related transactions in SAP according to established policies and procedures. The role also coordinates with external and internal customers to ensure all assigned transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner for cash collections, payment, and accounting close purposes. This position:

• Records journal entries, performs reconciliations, and makes adjustments and/or corrections as necessary.
• Processes wholesale refined product purchases and sales for timely payment.
• Coordinates and works with internal customers, external customers, and vendors to ensure proper recording/classification of transactions, verify accuracy of pricing and volumes, and review and ensure compliance with customer and vendor contracts and deal sheet terms.
• Performs month-end closing duties to ensure accurate financial reporting (e.g., review accounts receivable/payable, reporting, etc.).
• Reviews EMTS workbench and pending report for vendors.
• Provides SAP technical expertise and training.
• Assists with special projects for management or other operational areas as needed.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio Headquarters, required. * 3 years of Accounting experience required. * Bachelor's or higher level degree in Accounting preferred. * Refinery or related experience preferred. * Advanced skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel) preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
