Aerotek Assembler in San Antonio, Texas

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

This person will assemble light fixtures for various clients, including museums, hotels, and VIP homes. The assembler will work from 2:30 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday. Each day, the assembler will be assigned to the same workbench with three other team members. They will assemble different product variations each day, with all tools and work instructions provided at the workbench. Materials will be staged beside them by the order selecting team. Each assembler will complete 5-10 steps on the product before passing it to the next team member. The last person on the assembly line will place the completed products on a pallet for the warehouse employee to wrap, store, and ship out.

Hard Skills

  • 1+ year of assembly experience

  • Experience with hand tools such as calipers and micrometers

  • Experience assembling with a blueprint or following work instructions

  • Manager reference

  • Open to second shift

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to follow instructions

  • Team player

  • Problem-solving skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.

Work Environment

Climate-controlled environment, both in winter and summer. Industrial setting with approximately 10 workstations, working in a line with 3-4 others, and a medium-sized warehouse. Completely enclosed environment except for two open shipping and receiving doors on the far side of the warehouse floor. The work environment is described as beautiful. Standing 100% of the time. Dress code: plain black t-shirt (provided after the first few weeks), jeans (blue, khaki, or black), and tennis shoes.
