UnitedHealth Group Associate Business Analyst - San Antonio, TX in San Antonio, Texas

The Accounts Payable Business Analyst provides support to multiple A/P teams and systems in the South Region by handling some of the more complex tasks within the organization. This role also provides AP Support to vendors, internal clients and works closely with A/P Leadership.

If you are located in San Antonio, TX, you will have the flexibility to Work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process uploads/consolidated invoices

  • Provide AP Support to external/internal clients

  • Troubleshoot support issues independently or escalate appropriately

  • Educate clients on appropriate actions/processes

  • Perform root cause analysis for escalations and present effectively to stakeholders

  • Update AP Tools to align with accounting/coding changes

  • Resolve payment and processing escalations

  • Submit vendor change requests in the absence of a business relationship owner

  • Perform vendor reconciliations

  • Perform process mapping & documentation

  • Analyze business metrics and provide insights to leadership

  • Provide KPI’s and Dashboards

  • Support process improvements

  • Ability to float (if needed) across A/P Teams and Systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration

  • 3+ years of accounts payable experience

  • Demonstrated intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables & charts)

  • Demonstrated problem solving/reconciliation skills

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written

  • Experience with Accounting ERP Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated healthcare experience

  • Experience with Concur Invoice and PeopleSoft

  • Experience with Premier Connect, Ariba or Coupa

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and keep abreast of workload
