Anywhere Real Estate Associate Engineer Data Platform - US Based Remote in San Antonio, Texas

As a Data Platform Engineer, you’ll be a key player in our Enterprise Analytics Platform Team, creating a robust EAP platform from the ground up to serve agents, brokers, home buyers, and sellers.

We need a talented, creative, and motivated engineer who loves building data platform tools and thrives in a collaborative environment. If you have a related degree and a passion for programming and data, you’re the perfect fit! You’ll enjoy developing tools like Data Ingestion Platforms to bring data from diverse sources into our Data Lake and Data Streaming Platform, as well as tools for monitoring and observability. With your commitment to quality, excellent data/cloud skills, and team spirit, you’ll achieve great things with us at Anywhere.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build Scalable Solutions: Create high-performance, scalable data solutions that cater to millions of agents, brokers, home buyers, and sellers.

  • Collaborate on Data Streaming: Work with fellow Data Engineers to develop our Next Generation Data Streaming Platform.

  • Develop Data Ingestion Platforms: Implement real-time data streaming from SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle using CDC-based technologies, and from third-party APIs, internal micro-services, and files stored in S3/sftp servers.

  • Enhance Data Quality: Collaborate on developing Data Quality and Ops Platforms for real-time data anomaly detection and data profiling.

  • CI/CD in the Cloud: Develop CI/CD processes for continuous delivery in AWS Cloud.

  • Support and Troubleshoot: Provide support for production issues, troubleshooting, and resolution, with a focus on observability to detect issues in advance.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Programming Experience: Ideally, you have one or more years of experience with programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, or NodeJS.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
